This particular species could be new to science and seems to originate from the island of Siargao (Philippines). Several similar yet distinctive 'bonsai' species are scattered in the Indonesian region, all of them sharing very unusual habits and leaf shapes.

 

The little flowers appear in short racemes (~8-12 per raceme!) in every axillary bud and provide a very unique look. It seems like this species never stops flowering...

 

As long as the average temperature is well above 20 °C cultivation has proved to be quite easy.
