Of course, hybrids are to be found in this variable genus as well - more than one might think actually:
For many species intermediate forms or easy-to-spot natural hybrids can be observed. Unfortunately, there has been no review on the variability and the hybridization potential of Aristolochia species in situ.
Many misidentifications and even some new species' descriptions may in fact represent natural hybrids.
However, without DNA/cladistic analyses this cannot be verified conclusively in several extreme cases /e.g species' complexes.
