This is one of the most showy species flowering in early spring. The awesome yellow flowers look like small bells hanging down in clusters.
Aristolochia mollissima is quite widespread across China and tolerant of brief freezes, best kept isolated to support flower formation in spring. All in all a very easy species if provided a shady, humid spot in airy soil.
As applying to all species belonging to sect. Hexodon A. mollissima will proliferate by runners/stolons above and below soil level from time to time.
